Five militants were killed during an intelligence-based operation in Bara, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, security sources said. Weapons and ammunition were recovered from the militants, while their reported hideouts were destroyed.

In a separate operation in Nokcha, Chagai district, Balochistan, security forces killed two more militants, according to the sources. The militants had allegedly set fire to an empty water tanker before attempting to flee the area.

Security officials said members of Fitna al-Hindustan, as they referred to the group, had also been involved in arson attacks at several locations along the N-40 highway. The sources said 11 militants allegedly involved in similar attacks were killed.

Security officials said operations would continue as part of efforts to eliminate militant networks and establish lasting security in Balochistan and elsewhere in the country.
