Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has ordered the cancellation of licences of petrol pumps that fail to provide benefits under the Prime Minister’s Fuel Relief Programme.
The directive was issued during a meeting chaired by the prime minister to review progress on the programme.
Shehbaz expressed satisfaction with the scheme’s progress and transparency, and praised IT Minister Shaza Fatima for developing an effective monitoring system and dashboard.
He said simplifying the registration and subsidy disbursement procedures had increased registrations, enabling more deserving citizens to benefit from the relief.
According to an official statement, the prime minister also directed authorities to cancel the licences of petrol pumps that refuse to provide relief under the programme.
