Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz has given deputy commissioners three days to improve conditions in hospitals across the province.
The deadline was announced during a review meeting on the performance of deputy commissioners.
Maryam Nawaz also directed officials to ensure a complete halt to the burning of crop residues and make all streetlights and manholes fully operational.
She warned that negligence by deputy commissioners was damaging her reputation.
