ISLAMABAD — Pakistan’s Information Ministry has rejected allegations by Afghanistan’s Taliban authorities that Pakistani forces were involved in reported internal clashes in Afghanistan’s Nuristan province.
In a statement issued through the ministry’s fact-check account on X, officials described the allegations as “frivolous, baseless and devoid of any truth,” denying any Pakistani role in the reported violence.
The statement comes amid heightened tensions between Pakistan and Afghanistan, with Islamabad repeatedly rejecting allegations of Pakistani involvement in militant or internal conflicts across the border.
