Speaking in an interview with a foreign television channel, Arab TV Director General Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) Lieutenant General Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry said United Nations reports had mentioned the presence of dozens of militant organisations in Afghanistan.

He said Pakistan’s position was that Afghanistan should not become a hub for terrorism. According to the ISPR chief, the Taliban government was providing training to militants for carrying out terrorist activities in Pakistan.

“Our only demand is that Afghan soil must not be used for terrorism against Pakistan,” he said.
