Pakistan Carried-out Precise Air Strikes Alongside Afghan Border

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan said on Monday that it had carried out intelligence-based precision air strikes against alleged militant hideouts along the Pakistan-Afghanistan border, targeting members of the Kharji Gul Bahadur group and the FAK.

According to information released by Pakistani authorities, 28 militants were killed and several others injured in the strikes. The claims could not immediately be independently verified.

A statement attributed the operation to intelligence-led action against militant groups allegedly involved in cross-border attacks and said Pakistan would respond to what it described as “Afghan-abetted Indian terrorism”.

“Each act of terrorism by these Kharjis will be answered with full wrath and fury of the state of Pakistan,” the statement said.

Pakistan also warned that it would continue conducting such operations unless Afghanistan took “concrete steps” to prevent and eliminate what Islamabad described as cross-border terrorism.

There was no immediate independent confirmation of the reported casualties or details of the locations targeted in the strikes.
