Rana Sanaullah Calls for End to Long Marches in Islamabad

Must read

ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister’s Adviser on Political Affairs Rana Sanaullah on Saturday said that while citizens had a constitutional and legal right to protest, Islamabad should not be used as a venue for demonstrations.

He urged political parties and protesters to “end the practice” of staging long marches and protests in the federal capital, according to Dawn.

His remarks came as the Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) had been preparing for a nationwide protest and march towards Islamabad to demand the release of party founder Imran Khan, who is incarcerated at Adiala jail in Rawalpindi.

The PTI announced on Friday that the planned march had been postponed to October 4.
